Day at the Beach

Christmas Vacation and we get to go the beach!  What's up with that?!  It was so warm out, just perfect!

James met up with some buddies at the beach and he had a great time!

Mom relaxing, not allowing the water to touch my feet. The water was freezing but there were still people who braved it and went in, including my son.

Such a fun day!  Looking forward to more days like this with my boy.  I am a little smitten!  :-)

Friday

It is Friday and I am inspired to do absolutely nothing today!  It is chilly out and I think I am going to veg inside my nice, cozy warm home!  My son is playing with his Christmas presents, so I can guarantee at least a few minutes of him being occupied without being bored.  ha!

Yesterday was a wonderful day at my mother's home spent with family and close family friends.  It's nice to sit around and catch up on old stories and new stories.  See the siblings that you normally wouldn't get to see in everyday life.  I am so blessed with the people in my life.  They all can truly offer something in this world.

The world is a better place with this little guy!  James Michael Smith is such a loving little boy and I am so glad to call him my son.  He makes his momma so proud.

Hoping that next year is full of things that inspire us all to do some good in this world.  Spread love, and donate to the needy.  Spend time with those less fortunate and don't give up on all the promises that God has for us.

Welp, that is all for now!  Peace, Love and Happiness.

Christmas memories

What a great day!  My mom always try to make the holidays really nice for everyone and she usually does a pretty good job, today was no different.  Mom was the hostess with the mostest!  :-)

Motivation!!

Here is some pre- New Years motivation to get you out there looking and feeling good about yourself!

1st - start everyday with the thought that something good is going to happen

2nd - surround yourself with positive uplifting reading material

3rd - make sure you work out to increase the oxygen and adrenaline.  Increased adrenaline and blood flow ultimately leads to a more healthy positive mind frame.

4th - Stay hydrated.  Helps you stay sharp mentally!  And you're body isn't bloated with unnecessary carbonation. (Although you will see me with one coke zero at least one a day) ...hey, I'm not perfect!   :-)

Never too early to get on the health bandwagon!

Stay hydrated!!  :-)

Holiday Christmas Pics

Some Christmas Pictures of me and my son.

Sure beats the prices of the portrait studios.  I love my camera and it brings out the same quality as those pictures that you would pay hundred of dollars for.  Natural lighting and outdoor scenery.
Just Beautiful!

The idea was for me and my son to wear matching outfits (same color shirt and jeans).  My shirt ended up being more of an apricot and my son's shirt was a little bit more in the pink family.  Either way, it was a nice day with my son.  Always fun to capture memories!

Thanksgiving

It was a great Thanksgiving at my house!  I made a turkey that turned out awesome and I am so glad that I decided to do that!  I have always let someone else take care of the turkey.  I braved it today and it turned out great.  Here a few quick snapshots of the day.

This was such a candid shot taken by my son.  I was still in my pajamas so forgive me I wasn't ready for the paparazzi!  ha!  You ladies understand, can't say no to the little ones!  :-)

Yay!  Turkey turned out great!

What a fun day!  I am so thankful for my family and that God has given me breath in my lungs.  Hoping that everyone has had a great Thanksgiving too!  :-)

Christmas Woes

Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year.  I just hate that I am not able to buy everything I want for my kids.  My son wants a new drum set and I am not able to buy it for him.  Oh how I would love too!  I would be mom of the year for sure!

Instead it may be a lot of little things just to say that I bought something for them for Christmas.

That has left me a little down.  Am I over reacting, probably.  But I really wanted Christmas to be something magical for them.  For their eyes to get real huge and just thing that their dreams had come true. I know it is just me. They will be happy no matter what.

What mom wants is just a new coffee maker!  I really, really want one that has a timer and will start and stop itself.  That would be awesome!

Preferably a Keurig!

 A girl can dream!  :-)

Most of all I just want my kids happy.  I don't want any sad faces.

Tis' the season...

One of my favorite picture at Christmas, years ago....

Freezing

The temps have been in the low 60's this week!  Which to me is freezing.  I am so happy I was able to pick up this coat earlier this year.

I love this jacket!  It's lined in red satin and so pretty!

Here's hoping it warns up some tomorrow!

Wintry days are coming...

Today it was rainy and nasty.  The day turned dark and I was ready to come home and relax in my warm home.  Which is exactly what I'm doing !  :-)

Christmas tree is lit!

Fireplace is on!

And my nice warm slippers are on my feet!

All is well!  :-)

Of course missing my little snuggle bunnies which would make my house feel complete!
