Late Birthday

This weekend I planned to take my son to Rebounderz to make up for the lack of doing anything on his actual birthdy.  He kept requesting Rebounderz so that's where I took him Saturday. He had a great time!

Btw..this slushie was the most amazing slushie I think I ever tasted.  It was orange sherbert and it tasted heavenly!!  I'm pretty sure James would agree!

That's about it for the weekend!  It's been a little cooler today and I'm loving it.  I put out some fall decorations today, I'll post pics soon!

Blood Moon

I've heard a lot of hype about the blood moon.  I'm curious to see what becomes of it.  

HUGE earthquakes are set to "DESTROY Earth" within DAYS following a rare series of lunar events, self-styled 'prophets' have claimed.

Two Christian preachers with huge followings in the US claim the date of the last of four 'blood moons' over the past 18 months, due to occur on September 28, and following a papal visit to the US, will signal the second coming of Jesus Christ.

At the same time, the world as we know it will be destroyed by major earthquakes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and the possibility of a third world war.

The two evangelists have been accused of peddling the false warnings in order to cash in on books they have penned about their predictions - one of which was turned into a movie.

The pair claim Armageddon will occur at the conclusion of the ongoing 'tetrad' of blood moons, which began on April 15 last year, followed by another red-coloured lunar eclipse on October 8 last year, and a third on April 4 this year.

The fourth in the series of blood moons, which have six full moons in between, is set to happen on September 28.

The incredible alignment of blood moons has only happened a handful of times in the last 2,000 years, with pastors Mark Blitz and John Hagee claiming they have historically coincided with a globally significant religious event.

Quick Recipe idea

So my son loves Corndogs, I found this recipe on Pinterest and I had to try it out.  It was so quick and tasty.   Cornbread Corndogs!  The only problem was the cornbread was a little too crumbly so need to keep that in mind for next.  A suggestion was made to include honey next time, so I may just do that.  Something that can keep in the moisture.  

Ingredients:

One box Jiffy Cornbread mix

1 pkg hotdogs

Stir together ingredients of cornbread mix and pour into muffin tins.  Place one third of hotdog into each tin of cornbread mix.

Place in oven at 400 degrees.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Final result!

Serve with ketchup and mustard.

So yummy!

Random Fashion pics

Not a lot to say so thought I'd make today a fashion post with some things that I like and love!  

I went to Tjmaxx and being the window shopper that I am, I went and tried on some cute dresses but didn't buy anything!  It satisfied me at the moment.

The first was called a tunic dress

It wasn't one of my favs but I could wear a shaper underneath so it could look better. 

The second was a shirt dress.  I loved this one.  It was an XL so it was a little too big for me but I love the idea of it.  

I saw this in a Kohls ad so I had to go try it on.  This camo skirt, I actually liked the two paired together.  Only prob was the skirt was $40 even after discounts, bummer!  Can't afford it but cute, cute!

Lastly , had to throw in a cute bathing suit that I found that I think fits my body type perfectly.  Still working on those abs and thighs.

The big announcement

I suppose this post is long overdue.  I recently became divorced so I'm now beginning a new chapter in my life.  Only time will tell which direction that is.

You know when you're younger and you just know you will never become one of the divorce statistics, well here I am.  Guess he didn't like I was bringing to the table, what I was cooking, whatever the reason he high-tailed it on outta here.  

Now it's time to move on.  Trying to get my head on straight and slowly try and regroup.  I'm turning 40 this year which is also a big deal!  The black balloons will be out for sure on that day!

In other news summer is almost officially over and we'll be sending the kiddos to school and heading back to work.  School supplies have been bought, extended care arranged, and we are ready!

And that's it!  Summer is coming to a close, wrapping up some last minute books I've been reading, which I love, love to do!

Getting Fit!

Still focusing on this years theme for me, getting and staying fit.

I visited the local farmers market this morning and bought some veggies.  I love the inexpensive produce.

I also invested in a bungee type fitness cord, helps strengthen those arm muscles. Loving that!  Gets me sore for sure. 

Making a habit of walking, our local park installed some workout equipment along the way.  Impressed!!
