It's a chicken kind of night

Thursday is here which means tomorrow is Friday, yay!

Today I didn't feel like I accomplished much in this world at all.  Went to work for a few hours, picked up my kiddos and here I am.  blah kind of day, doesn't help that it has been raining off and on all day.

Tonight for dinner I am making steamed broccoli and barbecue chicken.  Very healthy.  I put some minced garlic, oregano/basil combo, and garlic powder in with the broccoli and it tastes so good!  Love it!!

Otherwise, excited about tomorrow being Friday.  I have two special treats for the kids tonight.
One, Thursday nights means doughnuts from Krispy Kreme (which they have on Friday mornings for Breakfast).  I always treat myself to Iced Lattes from Dunkin Donuts on Friday mornings so I thought it would be fun to get the kiddos donuts.
And two, I am making the kids Chocolate shakes tonight.  I will post tomorrow how they turned out.  My first time making so I am eager to try.

Day 9 Instagram Jan Challenge.  A proud moment…

My son is working so hard in his class this year.  A proud moment is when he received this Terrific Kid Award last year.  He is working hard with his ESE teacher and as a mom I could not be prouder of him.  I visited his classroom a month or so ago and he was eager to answer questions in the classroom and participate so I know he is trying.   I have been Blessed immensely from God with this boy.  He is such a sweetheart and I love him dearly!

Manic Monday!

Not a lot to write on a Monday but we will give it a go!

First up, how cool do these glasses look?  I think they are just the coolest!  lol  Although they are a little stronger than I would need for reading so I have to take them back and get a different pair but I am going to try and get the same style!

Today, got a little chilly didn't it?  Stepped outside and felt like I was at the ICE exhibit again in Orlando!  I was expecting to see a penguin outside..ha!

On a totally different note, I was missing the fact today that we no longer own our own home but I do really like our rental.  I think we got a great deal in a nice subdivision.  4 bedrooms and a pretty spacious home although we don't get a lot of visitors because we live a little further away than other family members.  That's a bummer!

One more quick snapshot of the kiddos goofing around before I go.  We have had a great time with the kiddos on Christmas vacation.  Will definitely miss my time with them when they go back to school tomorrow.

Before I forget, I am attempting to start making my own bead bracelets.  I am attaching a picture of a Noles (Seminoles) bracelet that I made.  My very first bracelet and I think it turned out pretty good.

I hope everyone has a great week!  :-)

Letter to my children...

As I sit here on a Friday night, I have already posted in my blog for today so tonight's thoughts will not get posted until tomorrow.

I sit and I think about the fact that I did not make any New Years Resolution's this year.  I also sit and think about my children.  My goals and desires for them this year.  To become more disciplined, to learn to love each moment of every day.  To give back to people who have given to them, to hug more, laugh more and just be a strong example of Jesus Christ.  How would God want us to live?  We need to move forward in that thought.

God is amazing and he loves us and we are an extension to those who do not know what God is about. And if our children can be that voice and an instrument for God, please God use my children.

I have seen my daughter reach out to others even at her young age, she invited friends to church and she is not afraid to go to church with me every Sunday.  Her brother does not have that desire quite yet, but maybe one day.

Susan has a boldness that could certainly be used for God's glory.  I am going to try and do what I can to feed into her eagerness to learn more about God and to seek him out.  Being adopted and knowing that, she could certainly be used for her testimony and the way that God has used her thus far.

And I know that James' testimony can be used as well.  He is such a loving little boy and I love him so much!

Lord please direct their steps.  :-)

Feeble Friday

Please do not ask me why I titled it like that, ha!

Today has been the ending of a very low key, quiet week at home with the kiddos!  Next week, on Tuesday they go back to school.  I can't say that I am not ready to go back to work.  I have done a few things around the house but haven't felt the drive like I normally do to get in there and do any deep cleaning.

I took a few pictures around the house of daily happenings.

It was pretty chilly today out, so I was able to bring out my "Favor ain't Fair" boots today.   Whenever I wear these boots, I think of my favorite evangelical preacher preaching a sermon on "Favor ain't Fair".  I got a really good deal, price wise on these boots.

Two thumbs up to the Apple Company for the printing of these pictures.  It was as simple as importing the picture from an independent photo editing website after some minor touch ups and then ordered them directly from Apple on the computer.  The 8X10 had the wording chopped off of the top of the picture but the 4X6 and 5X7 came out perfect!  Would definitely order again!

After receiving the pictures in the mail, I went out to Hobby Lobby and purchased this wooden frame. I was able to purchase the flowers separately and hot glue on to the frame. I think it turned out really good.

This deco tape is really popular with the kiddos nowadays.  I was able to put up my son's football picture with this cool deco tape.  My son seemed to be pretty happy with it too.  (BTW, my son is #28 for the Wolves, the blue and white jersey - he was about to make a tackle)

And that is about it.  Make it a great one folks!  :-)
I'll leave you with this...Sweet!

Thirsty Thursday!

Today was a good day out getting some after christmas sales.  Went to gap and was able to pick up a red/white striped shirt that I have been eyeballing.  It was on clearance today for $14.99 (Instead of $35), yay!  That was a win!  :-)

And here is my daughter in a picture with her new sweater.  Does she not look all grown up?  Sometimes I can't believe how much older she is looking lately.

I was able to pick up this little sweater from Gap for my niece, Emma.  How cute will she look in this sweater?

Also, I had lunch at Nature's Table and it was so good!  It was a Mediterranean Chicken Wrap with Pasta.  It was so good and definitely a lot more calories than Subway but I chanced it anyway.

Quenching my thirst today with Chai tea.  Absolutely love this tea!  Yummmmmy for sure!

Last but not least, I have two mini-me's.  They love wearing their mommy's glasses.  I can not wait to get a new pair of glasses this year for sure!

Have a great day!  That's all today folks!  :-)

Happy New Year

Welcome 2014!

Last night we brought in the new year with 2 sleeping kiddos and me and my honey.

Today, starting my working out on the elliptical and the mindset, think healthy, Be Healthy!

Don't really have a New Years Resolution this year.  Lots of goals and aspirations.
